The order has to be placed by 3pm Mountain Time in order to be processed for Next Day Air delivery.  Any orders placed after 3pm Mountain Time will be processed and shipped the following day.   Shipping Policy

Please call the shop 970-460-0036.  We can determine which brand of rack you have and the type of lock core to get you the right key or give you the options.  Some rack brands make it easier to get replacement keys than others.  

The broken piece of the key needs to be removed from the lock core in order to insert the new key and operate the rack.  Northern Colorado residents can drop their rack off at the shop and have us attempt the extraction.  We charge $100.00 per hr, but in most cases have the issue resolved in 15-30 min.  We do ask that you leave the rack with us, and we will notify you as soon as it is ready.   

Drilling out the lock core is an absolute last resort and can damage the housing that the lock core sits in.  This is not recommended and can potentially render the rack inoperable.  

Simple Answer, NO.  While the racks are made of high quality and durable materials, they will last much longer and work noticeably better if you only have it on the vehicle for the time you are using it.  A neglected rack left on a vehicle can accumulate road grime that can penetrate the different rack components and cause them to seize up or stop working.  Road grime and rust are not covered under warranty.   Removing your racks reduces chances of theft, road grime, and damage while increasing the life of the rack.
